Polestar 1 Aero simulation - 2024

Here is my one of the project I made during my internship at Polestar Design!

I built, textured and animated this windtunnel showing an aerodynamic simulation of a Polestar 1.
Lots of modeling and animation. From the turbine, car, airflow, rollerplattform to the mechanics inside the spoiler!

Made different versions of the airflow interacting with the shape of the car-body.
1. Realtime adaptive flow (geo nodes). Demo video below!
2. Baked smoke simulation (Heavy) 
3. Custom "volume-shader" wich is animated from point A to B with empties through invisible meshes matching the shape of the car. This is the one used in the final render!
